Following months of delay, director Niki Caro’s live-action Mulan will not open in theaters. Instead, the updated take on the 1998 animated Disney classic — originally scheduled to hit the big screen in late March — is now set to arrive on Disney DIS +0.6%+ this Friday (Sep. 4) for a “Premier Access” fee of $29.99. If that’s too rich for your blood, don’t worry, it’ll become totally free for platform subscribers in December.
